AdScale's Ad structure is slightly different from Google's and Facebook's.

It is done this way to make ad management more straightforward and effective.

In this guide, we will learn about AdScale campaigns, master ads, and ads.

Campaigns

Campaigns are at the highest level in the ad hierarchy.

They are marked with a Megaphone icon.

You can create multiple master ads and ads under the same campaigns.

You may have several campaigns in your ad structure to target different locations with different ads, have more control over budget distribution, and more.

You can learn more about managing several campaigns in the following guide.

On a Campaign level, you can edit:

🟢 Location.

🟢 Age targeting.

🟢 Scheduling.

🟢 Device.

🟢 Budget.

🟢 Optimization target (Manual ROAS/CPA)

🟢 In Facebook ads - campaign objective, call to action button, optimization event.

Master ads

Master ads are a group of ads that can contain multiple ads.

They differ based on the creative type they contain and the landing page the customer arrives at when clicking on the ad.

When creating a new master ad, you are creating one ad variation containing the same content, that will be advertised to different audiences and advertising channels based on your selection.

There are four types of master ads:

  1. Product ads - Ads that lead users to your product pages. These ads contain product images that are automatically pulled from your website.

Available channels: Facebook, Instagram, search, Performance max.

  2. AI product video ads - Ads that lead users to your product pages. These ads contain AI-generated product videos used to improve your ads' appearance.

    Available channels: Facebook, Instagram.

  3. Brand ads - Ads that lead users to your homepage. These ads contain single images, videos, and carousels, which must be uploaded.

Available channels: Facebook, Instagram, and search.

  4. Custom ads - Ads that lead users to a custom URL. These ads contain single images, videos, and carousels, which must be uploaded.

Available channels: Facebook, Instagram, and search.

  5. Promoted post ads - Ads that lead users to a custom URL. These ads are created out of an existing Facebook or Instagram post.

    Available channels: Facebook, Instagram.

On a Master ad level, you can edit the following:

🟢 Audience selection

🟢 Advertising channels

Note: Adding audiences and advertising channels will create new ads within the master ad you are currently editing.

Ads

Ads are at the lowest level of the hierarchy.

Ads in the same master ad differ based on their target audience and advertising channel.

For example, a Brand Ads master ad can include several ads with the same content and landing page, targeting different advertising channels and audiences.

On an Ad level, you can edit the following:

🟢 Content

🟢 Media

🟢 Products

🟢 Gender

🟢 In Facebook ads - Interests and platform (Facebook/Instagram)

🟢 In Google ads - Keywords
