How does AI budget management work in AdScale, and what are the manual customization options?

Written by Nicole Kaminer

Managing Budget in a Budget Group

AdScale’s budget management system is built around Budget Groups, where the budget is set and managed at the Budget Group level. In both AI Budget Groups and Customer Budget Groups, the budget does not live at the individual ad or ad set level, and it cannot be manually changed per ad or ad set. Instead, AdScale manages budget distribution within the group.

Overview of AI Budget Management

AdScale’s AI budget group automatically manages and distributes your ad budget across various channels based on performance metrics. This hands-off approach ensures that your budget is utilized efficiently, maximizing the return on investment for your advertising campaigns.

Additionally, budget adjustments within an AI budget group can directly influence the creation of new ads. For instance, increasing the budget allows the AI to generate more ads, optimizing the use of available resources.

Manual Customization Options

While the AI handles budget allocation, users still have the flexibility to customize certain aspects of their ads. For example:

  • Ad Copy + products: You can manually update the ad copy and products through the ad settings to ensure your messaging aligns with your campaign goals.

  • Custom Budget Groups: If you prefer more control, you can create custom budget groups. These groups allow for additional customization options beyond product carousels and more, providing a tailored approach to managing your ads.

  • Budget Adjustments: Adjusting the budget of an AI budget group can indirectly control the number of ads created, providing a way to influence ad generation without manual intervention.

Limitations of Manual Intervention

It’s important to note that manual redistribution of budgets for individual ads is not possible within the AI budget group or the custom budget group. This limitation is intentional, as the AI is designed to optimize budget allocation without manual interference.
