Important Notes: Advanced Meta Ads Account Management in AdScale

  • All changes to your Meta campaigns should be made within AdScale. AdScale will automatically sync updates to your Meta Ads account, ensuring your campaigns remain optimized.

  • To change the connected Meta Ads assets later on, reach out to your account manager or chat support on the bottom right side of your dashboard.

  • Resetting the Meta integration when switching to a new ad account will temporarily place your active campaigns back into the learning phase, potentially impacting their performance. Make this change strategically to minimize performance disruption.

  • When creating new Facebook ad accounts, proceed cautiously to avoid restrictions. Use unique payment methods, limit the rapid creation of accounts, and test new accounts thoroughly before heavy investments.

When using AdScale to integrate with Meta for running ads, users sometimes encounter account restrictions. This article addresses the potential reasons behind such restrictions and offers actionable steps to resolve and prevent these issues.

Understanding Meta Ad Account Restrictions

Meta has strict policies to maintain the integrity of its platform. Account restrictions can occur due to payment issues or Meta's internal review processes. These restrictions apply universally, regardless of the platform you use to manage your ads, including AdScale. For instance, unresolved payment method issues commonly lead to restrictions.

Common Causes of Restrictions When Using AdScale

  1. New Account Integrations: Connecting a new Meta account through AdScale can trigger Meta's default review policies. While this is a standard procedure for ensuring compliance, it may temporarily restrict the account.

  2. Payment-Related Issues: Restrictions often stem from unresolved payment method issues. If Meta flags your payment method as problematic, this can cause account limitations even when using a new account.

Steps to Resolve Ad Account Restrictions

To address restrictions:

  1. Verify Payment Methods: Ensure that all credit cards or payment methods linked to your Meta ad account are valid and free from errors. Contact Meta Support for clarification on flagged payment issues.

  2. Wait for Meta's Review: If restrictions result from a standard review process (e.g., due to a new account connection), allow sufficient time for Meta to complete the review. AdScale will automatically sync once the account is reactivated, and ads will resume running.

  3. Contact Meta Support: If the issue persists or the account remains restricted for an extended period, reach out to Meta's customer support for further assistance. Resolving these issues with Meta is crucial for enabling ad campaigns.

Preventive Measures

  • When creating a new ad account, use verified payment methods to minimize risks.

  • Familiarize yourself with Meta's advertising policies and integrate only verified accounts.

  • Test the integration during AdScale's trial period to identify any issues early without incurring costs.

By understanding and addressing the root causes of Meta's ad account restrictions, you can ensure a seamless experience with AdScale for your advertising needs.
