Preparing your advertised collection's text and images has a significant impact on your campaign ads quality and performance. As mentioned on the Ad Templates guide article, AdScale collects the information that is used to generate your ads directly from your Shopify admin. In the case of collections, the information for each collections ad is taken from the information listed on the collection.

Optimizing collection information on Shopify Admin will help AdScale to create a wider range of ads to your collections, as well as improve their quality score. So, what can be done to optimize your collections for AdScale?

Max 30 characters in the collection title

Make sure the title for each of your selected collections has a maximum length of 30 characters. You can use the aid of this character count tool.

Why?

Some of the ads we generate with your collection title have a character length limitation, and in order to prevent situations where your collection title text on the ad cuts in the middle, we need to make sure the text length does not go beyond this limitation.

What if I can’t shorten the title enough?

If you can’t make your collection title to be less than 30 characters, try to include in the first 30 characters the most relevant words and put a hyphen (-) right after them. AdScale will be able to split the collection title and take only the words listed before the hyphen.

Max 80 characters in the collection description

Include a collection description with a maximum length of 80 characters. If you don’t have a collection description for your selected collections, we highly recommend writing a short description of the collection in one sentence.

Why?

Similar to collection title, we don’t want your text to be fully visible and not cut short.

But what if I don’t want the collection description to appear in my store?

If you want to include a collection description in your ads, but don’t want it to appear on your store collection pages, please follow those instructions:
