Google enables only one ad account to run it's Google Shopping campaigns on each Ecommerce store. If Google Shopping 'Box' is checked during the setup of AdScale, our system automatically claims the store URL to our Google Merchant Center, so that we can run your Google Shopping campaigns.

What does it means?

If you don't have any active Shopping campaign on your own Google Ads account, then this process won't affect you in any way.

However, if you currently have an active Google Shopping campaign on your own account, then your own campaigns will be stopped by Google. As mentioned, this is because Google allows only one ad account to run Google Shopping campaign on your store, and AdScale claimed your store URL for advertising on Google in the setup process.

How can I Reclaim the Store URL to my own Merchant Center?

If you would like to keep your own ad account Google Shopping campaign, that necessarily means that AdScale won't be able to run Google Shopping campaigns on our system for you.

To keep reclaim your Merchant Center Store URL, please make the following:

  1. Claim back your store URL to your Merchant Center. You can find instructions on how to do so in this article.
  2. Notify us (by email or chat) that you don't want to run Google Shopping campaigns on our system, so we won't re-claim your Store URL.
